Feeling the Holiday Vibes

Unlike my past Christmases, I decided to decorate my work station with Christmas lights earlier this year. I also plan on buying a small Christmas tree for my desk, but I wonder if I even have space for it. Haha.

Today was a weirdly calm and productive sort of day. I was able to do some typography using watercolors and acrylics, and used a sketchbook which has been around for more than a year (but barely drawn on). That’s for another post though.

Christmas is only 38 days away, and I’m feeling it so much already!

Illustration Friday

Yeah, regardless of the title, this isn’t an official submission for this week’s Illustration Friday. Still haven’t gotten back to joining their weekly challenges though I hope it’ll be soon.

There’s a funny story to this artwork that I want to share with you guys. You see, I remember sketching this last 2012 on my sketchpad but never planned on finishing it. It was supposed to be a random teenage girl on the bed talking on the phone, but recovering it 2 years later made me want to change everything. It’s weird how you find old art and be able to finish sketches or improve finished art.

A really rough pencil sketch colored in Photoshop.

So there. Finished a few days before Halloween came. :)

Ciao!

To Be With You (a short comic)

Be creative, they said.

It’ll be fun, they said.

YES. It WAS fun. But very sad at the same time.

I even almost cried while doing this very very short comic.

And though it’s not written, like, you know.

Written… It’s still something I did.

Okay. Off to it.

3 hours spent averagely wisely. XD

I might sound bitter, and though I can relate with the story… :)

This was inspired by the lyrics of this video. (<< Click to view!)

Doodling During Color Theory Class

Yes, I was listening to our teacher even though I was doodling away at the back of my notebook! XD. Here’s my math teacher and my made-up corpse bride to accompany him. I also tweaked the colors in Photoshop CS5. :D

Hahaha. The washed-out girl on the top right is still very visible. Hmm.
